In response to the Pandemic, 46 Nairobi based artists came together as a way of tackling the global Pandemic which has disrupted our normal way of life. For over 3 months, Kenya among other countries have been on lock-down, and measures to contain the virus have been placed including social distancing & curfew.
These 46 artists started a project, Resilience Is Everywhere sponsored by TICAH under Dream Kona , IG: dreamkona.

Early Saturday morning, made my way to TRM where I came across an Art installation with the hashtag #ResilienceIsEverywhere. It is an expression from 46 different artists in response to COVID-19 which has affected the entire world.
Had a chat with two artists who are a part of the project, Anthony Wanjohi, IG: wanjoohi2721 and Michael IG @michael_creatives. “The purpose of this project is for people to interact through their art, how it makes one feel, whether they understand or not, and to also encourage people to keep doing what they are doing”, Michael remarked.
Wanjohi also added that, the artists were given canvases to express themselves how they are coping with the Pandemic, various artists with different skill set from sculptural, murals, they all expressed on canvas.
The installation has been going around Nairobi, started at Archives-CBD, Waterfront-Karen, Lunga Lunga- Industrial area to where I met them at Thika Road Mall, and their next visit is Galleria & hoping other malls will welcome them for a collaboration.
Besides the art installation, they also feature live art session, live music performance and so much more, be on the look out on their next visit.
